Summary/Objective
This position works closely with the Location Manager and oversees the day-to-day operational activities of the grain elevator. This includes the coordination of elevator operations staff in receiving, drying, storing, quality control, and transporting grains.

Coach and train personnel to perform duties correctly and safely

Cross train everyone to make sure that there is always someone that can do the jobs needed in case of absence by other employees.

Communicate with employees so they know what is going on every day.

Make sure employees are aware of the specific jobs for each day.

Notify Location Manager of any changes that may change the production or work being done.

Keep track of the outside piles of grain during harvest to make sure they are piled properly.

Communicates with grain manager and regional manager on grain movement
-
Ensure quality at production level meets or exceeds customer standards

Understand and enforce OSHA standards and Country Partners Cooperative policies and all written documentation

Continue improving in supervisory skills and job knowledge

All equipment is maintained as per Country Partners Cooperative recommendations

All employees have received and practice proper safety regulations, Country Partners Cooperative policies and procedures

All safety documentation is recorded properly and on time

Monitors grain condition, aeration, grain movement, cleaning operations, dryer operations, task assessments, grain inventories,
-
Day to day scheduling of employees to match work load
-
Climbing (up to 150 feet), confined space, long hours, seven day work week when required
-
Communication verbal and written, monthly safety meeting and member of safety committee

Must maintain a good working relationship with facility and division management.

Communicate with Location Manager to know the quality of shipments that need to be loaded and delivered.
Work Environment

Dusty, Hot, Cold and Wet at times

Work in all forms of weather: Hot, Cold, Rain, etc.

Required Education and Experience

High School or equivalent

Supervisor Experience – Grain Handling Experience – Customer Relation Skills

Strong Leadership Skills.
